Check out this recent article published in The Boston Globe on the active Cohousing movement in New England.  It reinforces many of the points made at the November 2009 meeting by our guest speaker Diane Margolis of Cambridge Cohousing.

There are currently 11 completed developments in Massachusetts, including two conjoined complexes that opened in Berlin during the past year.  In the works is Stony Brook Cohousing in Jamaica Plain,  scheduled to begin construction in December on the grounds of  the former Blessed Sacrament Church.  A final group in Westport is in the forming stage.
